Apprenticeship Millwright

Job Description

We have an exciting learning opportunity for a Millwright already qualified, which will include exposure, understanding and application of the following:

• Execute pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical repairs.
• Perform planned maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Fit, inspect test and repair MCC, circuits and wiring systems and electrical equipment.
• Install and commission machinery and equipment.
• Align and calibrate machinery and equipment parts as required for efficient and safe operation.
• Responsible for Health and Safety in area of responsibility.
• Keep Maintenance and Technical Manager up to date with day-to-day occurrences etc.
• Ensure GMP’s are adhered to.

Qualification Requirements

• Grade 12
• Red Seal Trade Tested Artisan with a N5 qualification

Experience Requirements

• Experience in FMCG environment
• Canning and Bottling environment experience beneficial
• Conducting regular safety inspections and initiate corrective action
• Driver’s license (advantageous)

Working Conditions

Programme Information:

• This is a 12-month graduate programme based at our Salads & Pickles Plant reporting to the Manager: Engineering & Projects.
• Will at times support the Engineering structure in rolling out of specific projects / tasks.
• May be required to travel to sites for exposure to all business units.
