About the Context
NRC has been operational in Nigeria since 2015. The country programme aims to ensure that all interventions are market-sensitive, integrating Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) and market-based approaches where appropriate. NRC Nigeria has extensive experience in market-based programming across core competencies, including livelihoods, protection, shelter, and multipurpose cash assistance under the Rapid Response Mechanism (RRM).
The Country Programme aims to scale up the use of CVA and strengthen digital delivery systems, while exploring additional technologies suited to the operational context.
