Job Description
Critical and Intensive Care helps people with life-threatening injuries and illnesses. It treats problems such as complications from surgery, accidents, infections, and severe breathing problems. It involves close, constant attention by a team of specially-trained health care providers. Critical care usually takes place in an intensive care unit (ICU) or trauma centre. Monitors, intravenous (IV) tubes, feeding tubes, catheters, breathing machines, and other equipment are common in critical care units to support patient recovery.
The Reddington Group offers critical care (intensive and high dependency care) which is provided by highly-experienced and UK trained professional physicians who deliver high quality, evidence-based and patient-centered care for patients with acute onset and chronic critical reversible conditions. This facility is named after Dr Neil Davidson FRCP, An Oxford trained Consultant Physician and founding Medical Director of the Reddington Hospital. This purpose built facility is equipped with state-of-the art equipment such as Multi-Parameter Patient Monitoring system with ICU bridge, new high-tech Ventilators, Blood Gas Analysers, Mobile X-ray and C-arm, Automated Mattresses Intra-Operative C-arm from GE, Laparoscopic(Key-hole) Equipment, Operating Microscope for use by surgeons in a safe and infection controlled environment and Cardiac equipment for best treatment outcome. The facility is managed by a team of experienced and highly skilled Specialist Surgeons and Intensive Care Doctors supported by well-trained Theatre and ICU Nurses. Anaesthesia and Critical Care Consultancy is led by Dr. Seyi Oyesola.
