Key Responsibilities

Vehicle Inspection & Maintenance

• Conduct daily vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure roadworthiness and operational safety.
• Check fuel, oil, water, brakes, tires, lights, battery, and other vehicle systems regularly.
• Report mechanical faults, accidents, damages, or maintenance needs promptly to management.
• Ensure regular servicing and maintenance schedules are followed according to company policies.
• Keep the vehicle clean, organized, and in good working condition at all times.
• Monitor vehicle performance and notify supervisors of any unusual issues or concerns.

Transportation & Delivery Duties

• Transport goods safely and efficiently to customers and designated locations.
• Verify quantities, quality, and condition of goods during loading and delivery processes.
• Ensure goods are properly secured during transportation to prevent damage or loss.
• Follow assigned delivery schedules and routes while ensuring timely deliveries.
• Adhere strictly to traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company driving policies.
• Maintain accurate trip logs, fuel records, and delivery documentation.

Customer Service & Documentation

• Obtain delivery confirmations, signatures, invoices, and all required documentation upon delivery.
• Respond politely and professionally to customer inquiries during deliveries.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers through courteous and professional conduct.
• Report delivery issues, delays, customer complaints, or incidents promptly to management.
• Assist with loading and unloading goods when necessary.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of a high school certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Valid driver’s license appropriate for the type of vehicle being operated.
• Proven experience as a driver, delivery driver, or similar role is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
• Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and responsibly.
• Physically fit and capable of handling loading and unloading activities when required.
