Health and Safety Supervisor<p>.</p><p>.</p><p>The <b>Health &amp; Safety Supervisor</b> provides functional H&amp;S support to EACOP Project activities, ensuring that works undertaken by contractors comply with applicable local and internationally recognized health and safety requirements and best practices. The role covers regulatory compliance, contractor HSE management, performance reporting, incident reporting and investigation, HSE inductions and training, toolbox talks, safety-culture initiatives, and road-safety support. The position is field-based and requires travel to various worksites in Uganda/Tanzania. </p><p>.</p><p>• Provide support to Health &amp; Safety aspects for works conducted by the contractors. </p><p>• Implement the regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with local and other H&amp;S regulatory requirements.</p><p>• HSE Performance reporting for contractors</p><p>• Incident management including reporting, notification, investigation &amp; analysis </p><p>• Contractor HSE Management - analysis of prequalification and call for tenders; evaluation and audits. • Conduct HSE inductions and maintain an up-to-date database </p><p>• Promote positive Health and Safety culture and facilitate programs (e.g Zero Harm program)</p><p>• Prepare and facilitate toolbox meetings with EACOP workers and Contractors </p><p>• Coordinate and implement the EACOP HSE training requirements </p><p>• Provide support for road safety. Conduct vehicle inspections and Driver toolbox talks.</p><p><br /><br /></p><p><b>Professional experience</b>: </p><p>• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent formal qualification in a recognized HSE discipline (NEBOSH Certificate as a minimum). </p><p>• National Occupational Safety and Health certification (as required) </p><p>• Minimum 10 years of experience in Oil &amp; Gas Industry or related experience in large scale projects &amp; industrial operations. </p><p><b>Technical competencies</b>:</p><p> Good knowledge in Occupational Health and Safety; Risk Analysis, Contractor HSE Management. <b>Behavioral competencies</b>: </p><p>Ability to work in a multi-cultural business setting and excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
