Job Description

You will form part of the Mass Foundation Cluster which is one of the largest customer-facing business segments in Old Mutual. The HC Consultant role focuses on implementing the people plan for the designated client area. The HC Consultant is responsible for partnering with their clients and providing advice/guidance, across the full scope of HR practices and ensuring the correct implementation of HR processes. The successful candidate will be individually accountable for achieving results through self, over periods of 3 months-1year.

Requirements:

• Provides HR support and advice to internal clients based on a deep understanding of client needs.
• Analyses HR data and provides recommendations for HR interventions and improvements that will enhance people performance.
• Supports HCBPs in the implementation of organisational development, effectiveness and employee engagement initiatives when required.
• Supports the implementation of change initiatives when required.
• Implements people plan initiatives and HR processes in their respective client areas.
• Delivers with discipline the HR Calendar in client areas according to agreed timelines.
• Performance consult and support clients on required Sales indicators.
• Manage / Mitigate risks related to Employee Relations.
• Contracts with clients for delivery over a period of 3 months to 1 year.
• Adheres to HR controls and protocols.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (Industrial Psychology or Human Resource Management).
• Honours Degree (Advantageous).
• 3-5 years’ experience within a similar role.
• Experience within the financial services industry will be advantageous.
• The role is based in the Nyakatho Region.

MS Office Proficiency:

• MS Word: For report writing and documentation.
• MS Excel: For managing data, performing calculations, and generating reports.
• MS PowerPoint: For creating presentations and supporting organizational communication.
• MS Outlook: Managing communications via email and scheduling meetings.

• Strong written and verbal communication for interaction with internal clients and stakeholders.
• Ability to identify and solve HR-related issues effectively.
• Building relationships with internal clients and stakeholders.
• Capable of analyzing HR data and making recommendations for performance enhancements.
• Delivering the HC calendar according to agreed timelines.
