The Opportunity
We are seeking dynamic, results-driven Senior Sales Officers to join our growing team across our Cross River. As a Senior Sales Officer at Oxygen, you will play a crucial role in driving our loan disbursement targets while building lasting relationships with our customers and maintaining high-quality portfolio performance.
Key Responsibilities
Loan Acquisition & Disbursement
- Actively source, prospect, and onboard qualified customers in line with Oxygen’s lending criteria
- Conduct detailed customer assessments to determine creditworthiness and loan eligibility
- Process loan applications accurately and efficiently in compliance with company policies
- Achieve assigned monthly and quarterly loan disbursement targets
- Ensure all required documentation is complete and compliant prior to loan disbursement
Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain regular contact with customers after disbursement to monitor loan performance
- Proactively follow up with customers to ensure timely loan repayments
- Identify early warning signs of potential default and take preventive action
- Provide financial guidance and ongoing support to customers throughout the loan lifecycle
- Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships to encourage repeat business
Portfolio Quality Management
- Maintain a Portfolio at Risk (PAR) below 5%
- Implement effective collection and recovery strategies for overdue accounts.
- Follow up on delinquent loans and ensure prompt recovery actions.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, repayments, and recovery efforts.
- Provide timely and accurate reports on portfolio performance and recovery activities.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Minimum of OND, HND, or Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
- 1–3 years experience in sales, lending, microfinance, or customer-facing roles
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales and disbursement targets
- Experience in loan recovery or collections is an added advantage
Skills & Competencies
- Strong sales and negotiation skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities
- Good understanding of credit assessment and risk management
- Strong follow-up and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- High level of integrity and ethical conduct
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and detail-oriented
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
