Job Description

Role Purpose
The Sales Supervisor is responsible for driving sales performance, enforcing operational discipline, and coaching frontline staff to deliver consistent revenue growth and excellent customer experience. This role brings leadership closer to the sale, ensuring every staff member is accountable for performance, culture adherence, stock handling, and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Revenue Leadership
  •  Own daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets for the assigned team
  •  Drive upselling, cross selling, promotions and bundled products to increase revenue for your team
  •  Track individual staff sales performance and conversion
  •  Conduct on-the-job coaching during live selling hours
  •  Identify and act on low-performing staff immediately

2. Team Management & Discipline
  •  Monitor attendance, punctuality, and shift adherence for your team and report any challenges arising
  •  Enforce SOPs, grooming standards, and customer service protocols
  •  Handle first-level disciplinary issues and corrective coaching and mentorship
  •  Ensure your team adheres to the overall company culture expectations
  •  Provide coaching and mentorship for newly onboarded staff within your team
  •  You will be responsible for performance appraisals for your team
  •  Build a performance-driven team culture, not a shift-cover culture

3. Stock Control & Shrinkage Prevention
  •  Ensure proper receiving, display, and handling of stock
  •  Monitor daily stock movement and flag variances immediately
  •  Enforce FIFO and loss prevention procedures
  •  Ensure your team comes up with at least 3 new product introductions in a quarter

4. Customer Experience & Brand Representation
  •  Lead by example in customer engagement and service delivery
  •  Resolve customer complaints at first point of contact
  •  Ensure counters are clean, well-merchandised, and compliant
  •  Collect customer feedback and share insights with the Customer Relations Officer/Retail Manager
  •  Ensure cleanliness, grooming and good presentability of your team

5. Reporting & Communication
  •  Submit daily sales summaries and shift performance updates of your team
  •  Report incidents, shortages, and operational issues promptly
  •  Participate in daily and weekly performance reviews/discussions for your team with management.
  •  Recommend staff for recognition, training, or corrective action

Required Skills & Competencies
  •  Strong sales mindset with proven retail performance
  •  Leadership ability — coaching, correcting, motivating
  •  High integrity and accountability
  •  Basic reporting and numeracy skills
  •  Ability to work in shifts and under pressure
  •  Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Qualifications & Experience
  •  Degree or Diploma in Business, Sales & Marketing, or related field
  •  Minimum 3 years retail experience, ideally in FMCG or high-traffic environments
  •  Prior supervisory or acting leadership experience is an advantage
  •  Experience in airport or hospitality retail is a plus
