Job Description
- Prepare and serve healthy, nutritious meals in accordance with approved menus.
- Ensure food is prepared, cooked, and served in a hygienic and timely manner.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and food preparation areas.
- Properly store food items and monitor inventory to minimize waste.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
- Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas after use.
- Monitor food quality and portion sizes.
- Report shortages, equipment faults, or maintenance needs to management.
- Support the school's commitment to promoting healthy eating habits among pupils.
- Demonstrate professionalism, responsibility, teamwork, and respect in daily interactions.
- Perform other duties assigned by school management.
- Minimum of SSCE or its equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Cook, preferably in a school, restaurant, catering service, or similar environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to prepare a variety of healthy meals.
- Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
