Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Assist teachers in preparing classrooms, learning materials, and teaching resources.
  • Support pupils during classroom lessons, learning activities, meals, and playtime
  • Supervise children to ensure their safety, well-being, and appropriate behaviour at all times.
  • Assist with feeding, dressing, toileting, and other personal care needs of younger pupils where required.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and child-friendly classroom environment that promotes effective learning.
  • Observe pupils and promptly report any academic, behavioural, health, or welfare concerns to the class teacher or school management.
  • Encourage positive behaviour, respect, discipline, and good moral values among pupils.
  • Support the school in promoting character development by modelling integrity, kindness, responsibility, teamwork, and respect in all interactions.
  • Assist with classroom displays, learning activities, assemblies, excursions, and other school events.
  • Foster a warm, caring, and inclusive environment that supports pupils' academic, emotional, social, and personal development.
  • Ensure compliance with the school's safeguarding, health, safety, and child protection policies
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Class Teacher or School Management.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of SSCE or NCE (NCE in education or early childhood education is an added advantage).
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a school, daycare, nursery, or childcare environment.
  • Passion for working with children and supporting their overall growth and development.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patient, caring, trustworthy, and emotionally mature.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and reliability.

Location: Benin City, Edo State

Remuneration: NGN 70,000 – 80,000 Monthly
