Trade Channel Manager

PURPOSE

To manage and develop trade channels by driving sales performance, strengthening distributor relationships, and executing trade development strategies that maximize market penetration, revenue growth, and sales effectiveness across assigned territories.

THE JOB

• Managing and overseeing Key Distributors (KDs) to drive business growth and operational excellence.
• Achieving sales volume and revenue targets through effective market expansion strategies.
• Enforcing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for route planning and ensuring optimal use of sales automation tools.
• Expanding territory coverage by developing and optimizing sub-distributor networks.
• Developing and executing Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with Key Distributors to monitor and improve performance.
• Monitoring distributor and market performance through periodic business reviews and implementing corrective actions where necessary.
• Analyzing market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to recommend strategic initiatives.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with distributors, sub-dealers, and direct buying bakers to drive trade execution excellence.
• Driving effective redistribution strategies to improve product availability and market penetration across assigned territories

• Be proficient in leveraging data and sales insights to improve trade execution and business performance.

QUALIFICATION

HND/B.Sc. in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or any related discipline.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of three (3) years' relevant sales experience within the FMCG industry, preferably in redistribution sales.
